They punished me for the very same actions that Hunter Biden walked away from, all while ignoring

the reports I made over the years about sexual assault—in 2017, 2019, and 2020.

This is what I wrote years ago:

“…I’m a neurodiverse college graduate born and raised in Virginia. In 2017, I was assaulted by two men and left for dead, with severe head injuries. In 2018, I legally purchased a handgun for self protection in order to pursue my field job of photography with a sense of safety. The state of Virginia has publicly stripped me of my rights and labeled me a mental defective, unable to testify in court. People I thought cared about me have fallen for the lie that I am mentally ill, unable to fully grasp the true gravity of what I’ve been through. Iatrogenic illness, caused by outside source or a system, is not a recognized causative factor. The legal system has encroached upon my privacy and gone out of its way to ruin my life for years on end, culminating with a recent attack to my personhood by me not being able to stand up in court to vindicate myself in a rape case from 2019….”

It’s infuriating to watch the justice system ignore these cases while shielding wealthy, entitled men.

What happened?

I believe my rights have been unfairly stripped away due to a series of unfortunate events.

Here’s what I’m fighting for:

  • John Volken Academy – Accused of trafficking and exploiting young people under the guise of “faith-based rehabilitation.” I’m working to expose abuses and demand accountability.

  • Flying Predator Phenomenon – About a man in my local area who has sexually harassed at least 18 women, including rape, stalking, and other abusive behaviors. Tragically, two of the women have died by suicide, and others have shared suicide attempts. He’s extremely dangerous, and I’m working to expose him.

  • Investigate American Addiction Centers – Holding addiction treatment centers accountable for neglect, mistreatment, and unsafe practices.

  • Williamsville Wellness – Addressing cases of misconduct, abuse, and systemic problems in wellness and care programs.

  • In 2019, after being questioned by agents over a social media post, I was indicted. It completely upended my life. It’s taken years to rebuild and recover—years that included homelessness, fear, and fighting to be treated with basic dignity. I repeatedly asked to work with a female officer because of the intimidation I experienced from male agents, but my requests were ignored.

The fallout from that time was devastating. I lost my job and lived without stable housing for a summer, in unsafe conditions. During that same period, I was targeted and harmed by people who took advantage of my vulnerability. Despite reporting these incidents, authorities failed to take meaningful action. Sadly, I’ve since learned that this pattern—of dismissing reports from women who aren’t “connected” to the system—is all too common.

In 2020, I faced another assault and threat from a local individual, which was again reported and ignored. I’ve continued to speak out, sharing my story publicly to raise awareness of how easily victims are silenced and how little accountability exists for those in power.

It’s sickening to see how easily high-profile individuals escape scrutiny while ordinary people are left to fend for themselves. My experiences have made me painfully aware of how broken and unjust our systems truly are.

  • I believe that some of the poor choices I made over the years—letting my emotions rule and being overly trusting—were heavily influenced by the effects of psychotropic medications. These were prescribed by a therapist who, at age 16, made inappropriate comments about me and insisted I stay on SSRIs and other medications. Her intrusive role in my life, acting like a triangulated third parent, caused lasting harm.

Part of my mission now is to raise awareness about the risks of these medications, including black box warnings, and the serious damage they can cause when misused or prescribed without proper care.

  • I believe the tendency to overprescribe psychotropic medications often overlooks underlying issues that aren’t simply “depression.” For some, medication can help—but for others, it may dull their instincts or erode the social and emotional “rudder” that helps them navigate the world. It can leave people feeling constantly “fuzzy” or disconnected, which is how I felt for years, especially combined with the stimulating effects of medications like Adderall.

The criminal justice process itself can have a severe and negative impact on someone's mental health, especially if they are already unwell

Of the roughly 1,000 fatal shootings by police in 2018, approximately 25% of the victims were mentally ill. People with mental illness are sixteen times more likely to be killed in a police encounter than people who are psychiatrically well.

“But simply punishing the broken—walking away from them or hiding them from sight—only ensures that they remain broken and we do, too. There is no wholeness outside of our reciprocal humanity.”

It will take a long time, but I’m particularly focused on the John Volken Academy, which continues to exploit and traffic people with disabilities—labeled as “addicted” in Canada. Here in the U.S., these individuals are often dismissed or stigmatized as “degenerates.” Anything could help to alleviate legal burdens while I work with a lawyer to stand up to these bullies.
